This is one of the better trades I’ve seen for Hoffman, guy job.

are you kidding? such an overpayment! Hanafin is a young defender locked up with RFA years. former 4th overall pick and all star. he's got potential to be much better than he is, which is a top4 dman. all for a rental Hoffman? even if Hoffman was also locked up I'm taking hanafin no question.

just because that's the price doesn't mean it smart to do it also hanifin is 23 y/o. It'd be one thing to trade an older guy on an expiring deal with similar value to Hoffman, such as Brodie, but trading Hannifin would be silly
