with burns' declining play, subpar defence, and abysmal contract, you'd be lucky to get half of that return for him. didn't look at the rest of the trades (not meant to be a shot I just didn't)

He's still a 50 point D. In a rotten team no less.

Much better than Ghost and his 12 points this year.

yes but who's really gonna give up so many assets to take on that contract?

Well what would you drop? Currently it's a D in the worst slump of his career, a 7th D, mid-6 prospect and a likely low 1st for a potentially 60 point D...

I really dislike that argument that his contract is terrible. Everyone knows it is but he’s still a very serviceable Dman/replacement. GMs who are in win now mode would take him on and worry about the contract later. I truly believe this.

Ghost is also only 26 years old and dealing with an injury all season. Doesn’t work cap wise for the Flyers either.

Even if he was healthy, he'd be in pace for 24 points.

If money was issue, add Niskanen and Dillon from each side. They're pretty even in value. SJ might add a pick.

Now that’s just getting silly. Niskanen has been awesome and a great mentor for the young D core in Philly. Burns just isn’t a fit for Philly.

To be fair Burns is basically just what PHI wants Ghost to be - 60-point offensive D.

Already have a super aggressive offensive pairing in Sanhiem-Myers.

Wouldn't hurt having a solid pair on both ends with Provorov-Burns.

Yeah I understand that would be nice. Just unrealistic bc the top 4 has been great. Maybe in the offseason could see this happening when Brauns contract expires and they have more cap room to work with.
