I don't think that's true. It is the guy that broke the Campbell trade hours before anyone else did though

Dubas is a huge fan of Faulk. He’s probably wanting to send Nylander for Faulk

How did he break it hours before when Trevor Moore played in a game immediately before the trade?

    Nylander for Brodin?

TOR is apparently very interested in Dumba and our beat writer has also mentioned they've discussed Brodin as well. I think Nylander is the only player that wouldn't be asinine for the Leafs to move that gets a deal done, but I'm not sure if Dubas wants to move him. We shall see I guess, but I've always been a big Nylander fan and have like his game when he's played center. Brodin's game seems to fit what the Leafs need more, but he's a LD and they have a bunch of those in Toronto...

Wouldn’t get your hopes up in the middle of the season on that happening but you never really know

I'm not expecting us to move any of our D before the deadline to be honest with you. Seems like Guerin's ask is extremely high

He made that trade threat, if they lose 2 out of 3 before the deadline I think one is gone.

Maybe but it wouldn't be smart to trade one of them just to send a message, that's how you end up making trades just to make trades and usually don't get great returns. Guerin held out on moving Zucker and it seems like it could pay off. I bet he does the same with Brodin or Dumba. When he made that quote I think he's more talking about depth guys like Hunt or Pateryn, and maybe Hartman or Galchenyuk.

I like how the the thread starter claims big trade for TO involving Kapenen, and all you commentators jumped straight to Nylander lol. Kinda like when the Leafs were shopping for a back up goaltender and everyone was all like it'll cost Kapenen or Johnsson

You know that trade talks can happen before and during games right? He reported it the morning of.

Very very unlikely the Leafs trade Nylander. IF they do (again, MASSIVE IF) it's probably a draft day or summer deal, not at the deadline if they are trying to win. Doesn't make much sense to trade a top line forward when you're competing for the playoffs. I would be very unhappy if they traded him for one of those defencemen.

Also, Wild fans seem to think Nylander can play centre. He can not. He has never looked good or comfortable there in the NHL. Maybe in a few years, but he's so good on the wing he'll probably just stay there. If you want him as a 1C you will get worked by more complete players.

So he didn’t break it then, he just said it is close. Breaking it is actually saying Moore is traded but I get what you mean
