I do but I don't know if MTL gives it. He could probably get a similar return to the Hamonic deal honestly

Maybe to a team like Vegas who also needs D but I could see them being more willing to give up a first

I too like clutter but I figured with bringing Mathieu in he was the odd man out.. and if not him Uncle Leo I guess?

I think that if they were to move Leddy it would be for an offensive piece going the other way. Leddy is a valuable player and could be a good centerpiece for a trade top six player.

I agree that he could go for either but I'm basing it off of the plan I made for the agm and in this case I'm going for the picks.. But I don't disgree with you at all

Leddy's salary is needed for the Barzal, Pulock extensions.

If Greene is re-signed the LD next year could be:

Pelech
Toews
Greene

Hickey- If not moved
Aho

Much rather see Leo go.

I guess first it has to be seen how Clutter comes back, if he loses strength in his wrist and hand his career could be over.

I think Leo is still a solid 4th line winger, but he is being put into a situation to fail. He is not a C and Martin and Johnston is not exactly a good set of wings.

I can see them moving Hickey to free up some more cap space.

Moving Leddy and Hickey is ideal, then they have the cap room that is needed.

It is time to move on from Leddy as well, not a great fit in the system and if he is not scoring he is not that valuable to the team.

I agree, I love Leddy but he has not been the same since Trotz has implemented his system. I think that if he played on a team like the Oilers he would put points back up.

Well said.. Now if the unfortunate happens for clutter and he does lose hand/wrist strength would he be eligible for ltir?

For sure he would, the new system is not his style but on a more 'offense heavy' team he could put up some solid numbers

I just hope that if they were to move him the Isles get a fair deal for him.

I think they would given the fact that Greene got a 2nd. Like we said earlier give him the Hammer deal or at least a top 6 forward and I think that's very reasonable

If he were to put clutter on ltir, I guess put komarov in the clutter trade with some salary retained or sweetener
