Lundqvist doesn’t have negative value and especially if we’re retaining half he’s got value people think since we have a 3 goalie system rn that he now sucks... it’s just completely false. Plus the rangers we never put picks attached with him to get a “b” level prospect.

Haha. You're saying this is too much while everyone else is saying too little for Lundqvist. BTW, look at the actual text of the trade: I said Timmins or a different B prospect.

Lundqvist's numbers are below avg. His cap hit makes him un-tradable w/o the salary retention. Remember, Marleau was still an everyday player for the Leafs and they had to give up an unconditional 1st rounder to get rid of him. And that was for only one season. Lundqvist has an extra year on his contract.
