Why does Buffalo do that trade ? Rather keep our prospect over a 1 year aging rental

Because they need centres and a depth centre for a medium prospect is better than Eichel asking for a trade because Buffalo sucks again next year

We have Centers that will be ready soon in Middlestadt ( playing well now in the AHL ) and Cozens. Rather just grab one in free agency that is a stop gap and we are not giving assets for . Younger as well. Buffalo is not sucking next year finally get cap relief this summer from all Tim Murray's bad contract and lots of contracts drop off.
