Honestly, I hope for a competitive game against Boston, but I don't expect one. The next three games are against the Wild, the Kings, and the Ducks. Even a depleted Oiler team should be able to collect four points out of the next four games. They could drop into a wildcard position, but they should still be in contention for the playoffs. McDavid should return by the game against Vegas, possibly Neal too. Kassian is back in the lineup for the game against Winnipeg, which could mean the Oilers have their top two forward lines back in action for that game. Best case scenario has Klefbom is back for the next game, against the Predators. If he is out for three weeks, he'll be back for the March 9 game against Vegas, and have 13 games to prep for the playoffs.
It's not ideal, but the sky hasn't fallen yet.
