Honestly given the trades that have happened thus far the only thing that actually makes sense from Boston is 1st + Studnicka. Which is about the value that Jersey got for Coleman, and about the value that Minnesota got for Zucker, and a little more than the value Kings got for Toffoli.

I don't even think Beecher gets it done. It's really 1st + Studnicka or he goes elsewhere.

Foote, Addison, Madden and Studnicka are all in the same tier. Boston doesn't have anyone else close to that tier.

not enough for either deal IMO. Need to start with a first and a A/B prospect for those two but not sure who Boston sends.

A first and studnicka for Kreider? That’s not even in the conversation.

Studnicka is better than Foote, considerably. Foote is having a pretty mediocre season.

Columbus probably accepts though we really have no need for Kuhlman...

Agreed, but Studnicka is also 21 while Foote is 19- two years is pretty significant when discussing a prospects progress, and Foote's been out with an injury. Still looked fantastic at the U20's

Studnicka + 1st for any rental is steep, but is closer to than Heinen + 2nd

Lol. no.

I’m not saying anything crazy here. This is as simple as 2+2=4.

I mean just to even things out here...

Foote is 1.22 pt/gm player on a below .500 team in his D+1 year
Studnicka was a 1.09 pt/gm player on an above .500 team in his D+1 year

Pronman has Foote ranked 48th and Studnicka ranked 37th.

They're the same tier. At least according to non-Boston fans lol.

Also should note that Tyler Madden was ranked 40th.

So the argument we're really making is that if Toffoli is worth a 2nd + conditional pick + Schaller. then Kreider is worth a 1st.

2+2 does = 4. Foote still better than Studnicka.

OHL vs WHL (more offense in Ontario League).

Don't waste your time talking prospect with them. They only look at the expert ranking as the gospel. According to them our prospect pool is thin.

NHL equivalent weights: https://twitter.com/mannyelk/status/1014216462695878658
1. NHL 1.00
34. OHL 0.1577
35. WHL 0.1549

So even factoring league:

Foote: 1.22 x 0.1549 = 0.189 NHL pt/gm in D+1 season
Studnicka 1.09 x 0.1577 = 0.172 NHL pt/gm in D+1 season

Still has Foote favored. Again, I'm not saying one is clearly better than the other. I'm saying they're the same tier. Which means they carry about the same weight in a trade. If you're trying to make an argument that one is clearly head and shoulders better than the other, usually the one drafted higher and putting up better numbers at the same age would be the rational choice...but when we're talking Bruins or Toronto prospects the conversation is rarely rational.

Or we can use Madden

NCAA: 0.1711

Studnicka D+ 2 = 1.38 pt/gm
Madden D+2 = 1.37 pt/gm

1.38 x 0.1577 = .218 pt/gm for Studnicka in D+2
1.37 x 0.1711 = .234 pt/gm for Madden in D+2

Madden wins out. I'm just not sure how the 2+2 =4 guy isn't actually doing the math on his own player relative to the field.

Honestly i think the bruins farm system isn’t great. It’s got two great prospects, and two more that are really good. The rest i think is kind of empty of high ceiling guys, but have a lot of players very likely to be NHLers. Not the worst thing when you have a top heavy NHL organization.

Its not the best, but it's better than many. Like you said it doesn't really have that top end talent (mostly because it's all in the NHL now), but they have a lot of players that'll be NHLer's
