In this market, I'd think NJD could get more than late 1st + middling Def prospect. Especially if they are retaining any salary.

If he were a top-pair prospect...then the B's should have no trouble dealing him straight-up for Palmieri, Kreider, etc

Ya but what did the expert rank him among NHL prospects? To some that's all that matters. They don't know **** about the player, they just look at some "expert rankings" for their info.
