I kinda feel like some Leafs fans in AGM would go bersek from this idea. Besides, the Cats' defense isn't that good so I can't see them trading Ekblad.

All great defenceman in the NHL and I would not blink by saying Rielly belongs with them among the best in the NHL. Rielly put up incredible stats last year and the only reason his stats are off is that he was playing hurt most of the year and Barrie was inserted in his place into the team's first line powerplay unit. Rielly will be back on the first line power play unit next year when Barrie moves out as a UFA to another team.

It a pretty fair swap......but I dont think FLA is in position to be trading top-4 d-men right now. They probably need to add a d-man. Goaltending has gotten a bad rap down there, but its been more of defensive issue.

He really isnt. Hes extremely overrated and they could trade him for someone far better then him because of how hes seen around the league

I guess you and I agree to disagree with respect to the value of Morgan Rielly as I think he is an elite, elite defenceman but his truey value is his outstanding character and leadership skills.
