What we really need Muzzen to do is to mentor the young Leafs defenceman for the next four years on how to play defence in the NHL. I actually think the Canucks have been very smart to keep Edler and Tanev around to teach their young defenceman how to play in the NHL and this strategy is working really well in helping Quin Hughes alot this year.

This expansion draft is having a major impact on a team's defensive signings which is not being brought up enough in discussions on CapFriendly. Thanks for raising the trade protection idea as the whole expansion draft issue is one most of us do not really think about when making trades or roster moves on CapFriendly.
