Lol even to me that Avs trade is out there. On the flip side the WPG trade is way too much for Laine.

its been the Wild West on here today, Montreal fans have been doing every combo of Byram, Timmins and Newhook for Tatar. Was there some sort of convention

Out of all the pieces Graves is the piece to nix the trade. He's quite the revelation.

both pieces...Graves is too important to the Avs Dcore and Newhook is a stud prospect. Would you trade Caufield for a Tatar if you were in a playoff spot bc thats what this is suggesting.

For reference.
Caufield 30gp 18g 14a 32 pts
Newhook 28gp 16g 16a 32pts (and Newhook plays an solid 2way game)

Ya cause Habs management was present at the AVS/TB game yesterday. So everyone letting their imagination run wild. Personnaly it's either something cooking with Price to the Avs or they went to see TB players

But it's not how trades go down, it's rarely based on face value. Did you ever imagine Zucker, Coleman and Toffoli getting the return they did. It depends on how desperate a team is to get an edge.

Avs have 0 Interest in price, let’s that narrative die already

And avs aren’t a desperate team, they have injuries but they had big injuries in the season and still had a winning record. Friedman just said in 31 thoughts avs are interest in doing hockey deal. Not 1st and top prospects for expiring contracts or soon to be expiring ones with guys In their 30s

Bergevin loves zadorov, it’s more plausible he wants him and parts with Domi type move vs all these rental style ones. And Tatar is still a rental bc he’s not being signed after the 1 year

If Zadorov isn't a good enough roster player for a cup contender to want him then I don't want him either. As long as Domi's 70+ season is still fresh in GM's memories, then he's worth more than Zadorov.
As much as MB has done alot of bone headed moves e.g. free agent signings and dumb contract extensions... he's never lost a trade yet... we still gotta wait and see how the Drouin/Sergachev trade unfolds.
