Think the 5th can be deleted OR keep it and make it a 2nd and 5th?

* Heinen is a legit 200ft guy, should chip in for between 30-50pts, he's that Swiss-Army knife type/middle-6 FWD, has an uncanny knack of being the guy to win the 50:50 pucks and his deal has term/favourable $-hit, and should help NJ get to the floor.

Ya I wasn't sure what the view on Heinen was. Imo the price for Palmieri starts with a first+, question is just what that "+" should be.

Deal is lite for NJD in my opinion. It probably takes something like 1st + B+/A- Level Prospect + Heinen

So is that something like:
* 1st/Lauko,/Heinen, or
* 1st/Shen/Heinen, or
* 1st/JFK/Heinen
* 1st/Steen/Heinen

OR alternatively:

* 1st/3rd/Grzelcyk (been pointed out elsewhere that he's likely to be odd-man-out and be un-protected in expansion)?

I think you'd be looking at something more like 1st + Vaak + Heinen.

Lauko - I wouldn't trade, but he's probably more like a B/B- prospect.
Shen - is like a D prospect (probably a career AHLer
JFK - more like a C+/B- prospect (huge unknown as he may never come back to NA)
Steen - I'm not as familiar with, but sounds like a 3rd liner at his max.

I guess the way I see it is NJD would want 1st + Heinen + Prospect w/ Top 6 (FWD) or Top 4 (DEF) upside.

Steep price isn't it!?
* I watched both Steen and Shen at various WJ tourneys on the tube and they were definitely not 'pedestrian', but that's a long-long way from NHL.

EDIT - and the Grizz offer...How does that get executed??

Idk if its steep. Palmieri is a legit 30G right shot RW, with another year on his deal. Coleman fetched a 1st + A prospect and hes not as good as Palmieiri. If you can find a way to move cap and no have it be Heinen then I'd be for that too.

Palmieri makes Boston one of the favorites for a cup for the next two years. That's probably what you have left before this core starts to get broken up.

As for the Grz part, you can pay SEA to not take him. If Chara retired and Kurged walked, you had to rebuild the left side. I like the you guys we have, but your left side we be very inexperienced next year.

Lauzon - Mcavoy
Vaak - Carlo
Zboril - Clifton
