Kapanen deal intrigues me, but apparently the canucks are trading for one of the devils worst 3 forwards (wood, Simmonds, John Hayden) so I doubt they make another deal for a forward!

A team on the rise like Vancouver shouldn't trade away a first just to get rid of Eriksson.

I really hope they can get out of this deal somehow. Theres rumours he will terminate after his bonus in the summer like kovy but who knows I doubt it. He will have collected 31/36M of his contract with two years remaining.

He moved his family out of Vancouver back to Dallas.

Toronto just had to trade a first to dump Marleau... I think It's worth it. Eriksson's money goes to Barrie.

    That's because Marleau's contract was an over-35.
