Montreal doesn't need all those trash pieces. Mitts, E-Rod, and McCabe are all useless to Montreal and I can't imagine the interest in Ryan Johnson is that high honestly. Also, that's a major overpay for Duclair. You probably only need 1 of the 2 prospects and the 2nd.

I think i would offer reinhart 6.5 and let him hold out til halloween. And he might. Overpaying guys eats up cap and makes players much more difficult to trade. Maybe settle around 7, but do the right thing here. Its not like the sabres golden reputation would be sullied if they didnt pay pretty decent rfa whatever he wants. The sabres are a clown show, everybody knows it, its time to start making smart moves.
