Agree that Anderson has been a solid goalie for Leafs but also think this is a real make it or brake it season for him to deliver the goods if the Leafs are going to continue to committ to him in the long-term. He seems to let in some real soft goals at times which really hurts a team's morale. I really thought he played poorly in game 7 of each of the last two years playoff matches against the Bruins which does not bode well for a money goaltender. Not sure what his problem is but he has been really off for the last month with the Leafs.

I agree. He is ufa next season. Tons of goalie options in the nhl. I just don’t see any point in moving him right now.

LOL

Pavel Francouz: 23 GP, 2.50GAA, .922sv% - $950K

Robin Lehner: 32GP, 2.92GAA, .921sv% - $5M

Even if you retain 50% it's still 2.5 times more for almost the same production, and the Avs would be losing out on Newhook who will be better than Strome and they throw in a 1st?

LOL keep dreaming.

Now imagine Lehners numbers not playing for a bottom 3 defense. Nice try though.

Colorado doesn't exactly play an air tight defensively style game either. They give up tons of chances but their goalies just a top the puck.

Nice try though.

Sort by every underlying defensive metric. The Avalanche are never worse than middle of the pack and often a top 12 defensive team. On HNIC the other night Sportsnet posted rankings for the defensive woes of the Blackhawks:

31st - Slot attempts against
31st - Cross Ice pass attempts against
31st - Chances given up off the cycle

How are we ending this ego battle again? Oh, right... nice try though.

Bottom line: Lehner would outperform Francouz in Colorado. No one with any hockey sense would think otherwise. I look forward to you trying your best to win this inane argument.

Start with your own team, they could use a goalie on his game because Andersen sure as heck isn't.

So Freddy gets a shutout and Lehner bombs and lets 6 in... post didn’t age well at all...

Freddy has 1 good game in the last 10 and you’re waving his flag like the bandwagon fan you are...hysterical.

Says the guy who is calling him down based on a 4 game stretch... seems like that went right over your head though. Small sample sizes, you know.

Certainly wan’t his only good game in the last 10. But if you want to make things up to try and push your narrative...

Let’s cherry pick lehner’s last 3 games .868 sv% and a 4.67 gaa what kinda lemon are you trying to sell us here?

How many times in 2020 has Freddie the savior been pulled out of the net? 3? How many times has Lehner? 0. Freddie has one good game, a bunch of so so games, and a lot of bad ones in 2020. Comparing the two is moronic.
