See the Coleman trade as an asking price for AA. Coleman has never hit 30 goals and he is 3 years older then AA. Plus your in the division so include additional upcharge.

@DiehardRedWingsFan58 i would look at what Kase would cost as more of a comparable than Blake Coleman. I think it would be more expensive than Kase, but not as much for Coleman. Kind of in between. Either a 1st and a B- prospect or a 2nd and a high B/A prospect.
Just my opinion on it

Trading AA with in the division for Heinen and a draft pick over a year away. I'm sorry but this isn't very good for Detroit. I think we can agree that AA is having a bad year, right? He has 2 more points than Heinen in 10 less games, so what does that say about Heinen?

And that's fair, I totally agree on the Kase comparison for AA more so then Coleman. Totally agree with you on the 2nd and high B/A prospect as a potential haul.

The Coleman trade had a lot to do with his cap hit as well. 1.8M on the books next year. AA will get somewhere between 3-4M. I think AA asking price is a 1st and a B prospect or a 2nd and an A prospect. But not a 1st and A prospect like NJ was lucky to score. But if Yzerman can get a 1st and an A prospect, he might get another street named after him.

Kase hasn't been traded and his goal totals aren't close too AAs. The Coleman trade has a big impact on AAs value because in December people didn't think the wings could get a 1st round pick for AA but when Coleman got traded it proved that wrong. AA has higher proven goal scoring ability, 3 years younger, with higher upside.

If Yzerman can get a 1st and B prospect for AA i'll jump to the moon and back. That would be a great haul for us.

@DiehardRedWingsFan58 I know kase hasn’t been traded but I’m saying from what’s been rumored to acquire Kase. Lebrun said a 3rd/2nd and a prospect like Oskar Steen from the Bruins for Kase. I think a 1st and a player like Steen/Frederic is the price for AA or a 2nd and Lauko. Those would be my guesses at the start of a package for AA from the Bruins

I get what your saying but rumors aren't worth squat when your talking about a players value, done deals are and the coleman trade just inflated the market.

Neither team is making the Columbus trade. The 2nd is too far out to have too much value now and Columbus has no need for for another 4th line center.... Anderson should bounce back, not sure why Boston wants a player with 4 points....
