I don’t think they’d trade DeAngelo

Nope.

Kreider is worth Kapanen + a 2nd... Bracco and Dermott aren't equal to DeAngelo...

That being said I like the idea of bringing a LD-man in NY... Skjei won't be in NY for long now (I hope so at least) and Staal and Smith suck

Unless a team severely overpays for him

They have to definitely be considering it. Given they have Trouba locked long term and Fox coming up there as well, he is a proven expendable asset.

I wouldn't have thought so either, but his name has popped up in a few trade deadline articles.

But that's why it would have to include other young players like Dermott & Kappy going back.

Please Maple Leaf fans. J. Bracco is not an asset. He has what 4 goals in the A. Not setting the world on fire and you guys throw him in ecer deal to make it look good.

Not enough. Take out Kapanen and make it Nylander. Nylander for TDA is very close to fair. CK for a 1 and a B prospect. Since Tor doesn’t have a 1 this year, the 2 and an A prospect.

Why would CK go for a 1 + B prospect if Toffoli just went for a 2nd + A prospect + conditional pick?

The only F prospect Toronto has in Madden's league is Robertson.... If you're trying to reconstruct this trade with the scaling of this year's market it would probably look something like 2nd (which can become 1st if resign or Leafs make finals) + Robertson + Nylander for Kreider + Deangelo.

Yeah I just don’t know much about values and all, but LA got a haul for Toffoli so figure that should be CK like package and TDA is a top 4 dman and very offensive so I figure him for Nylander isn’t a huge reach

Talk about under-valuing a player... Nylander has 16th most goals in the NHL right now. He has two 60+ pt seasons and on pace for 70+ pts this year. He's only 23. He's signed long term at a very reasonable cap hit for his production (despite what some TO media will lead you to believe).

Despite some of the hate he gets as a whipping boy in TO, he's an extremely valuable player.
NYR aren't getting Nylander for DeAngelo.
