Description

IF Price is to moved, MTL would have to be creative. Price at 10.5M, there is no chance. But Price at 6.85M, I think there will be some GM's more than willing to take the chance....

Given the amount of interest around 10M BOBROVSKY; 6.85M Carey Price would be appealing to some.

Of Course Price is trending down ( there is no denying that), but never forget the effect of reputation in sports...Players with huge reputation will always be overvalued.

Regardless of the sport, half of all GM's will always continue to be seduced by a players reputation. This is the nature of sports.

I wasn't sure and from what I read there is no waiting period. A team can only have 3 retained salary transactions per season. Only 2 teams can retain on the same contract and no more than 50% of his contract can be retained.

I also read similar. I might be wrong, but it seems the restriction is about reacquiring a player who has been traded ....From the FAQ: "A team cannot reacquire a player whom they have retained salary from for a minimum of one year after the date of the transaction, or unless the player's contract expires or is terminated prior to the one-year date."
