Description

Sign David Farrance to his ELC. Put him out there with Fabbro. They've played together before at Boston U.

Extend Grimaldi. He's the only UFA on the team that gives his all every shift of every game. He adds some much needed depth.

Sign Hoffman. This team needs a goal scorer. There's enough capspace to go 7-8M caphit (minor tweaks would be needed to extensions like Weber, Grimaldi, etc to get to 8M)

Turris isn't going anywhere. People are still stuck on last season. He looks good with Duchene + Forsberg anyways.

Extend and Call up Trenin and Blackwell.

About the most you can do without trading players.

Not a bad plan. Hoffman would be a nice add they need a constistent top 6 guy who can score. Think David Farrance will probably start the season, if not the whole season in the AHL. Just a typical predators thing. Tinordi belongs in the AHL, his 5 on 5 defensive stats are awful. Only reason he ever looks good is cause Ekholm is making him look good. May see Pitlick and Tolvanen on NHL roster next year as well have excellent possession numbers.

I wouldn't sign Hoffman to 35 personally.
You will get stuck with a declining year or 2 there.

Tinordi does belong in the AHL but do to the likely retirement of Hamhuis and then Irwin/Weber UFA there's going to be open spots on the NHL roster. It'll probably come down to him or Carrier. Then there's another spot open if Farrance starts in the AHL. There's a real chance he starts in the NHL next season. I kept him with Ekholm b/c Ekholm is the only reason he looks reasonable now.

The leftover NHL spots are sortof a free for all. Trenin is the only one i see as a lock. Blackwell is a great 13th forward type (cheap, older and not hindering progression by sitting in the pressbox). If you don't get UFA shopping, then I could definitely see pitlick/tolvanen fighting for that last roster spot.
