He is having a bad year, I agree, but there in nonurgency to trade him unless Stevie gets what he wants. AA is still a RFA for 2 years and that has value. Steve Yzerman has shown he can be very patient.

AA does not blow, bad season yes, blows no. He scored 30 goals last year on a bad team.

Question, if he blows, why trade for him, put him on your top line in the1st place?

I don’t think he’ll blow on the islanders, and Barzy needs someone next to him who can keep up with his pace

I would do Wilde and a 2nd for AA.

I don't think LA would do that deal but I like it.

Well if he isn't going to blow on the Islanders the why shouldn't Detroit get top dollar for him?

Like a top 5 overall prospect or a top 5 organizational prospect

Come on really? While I do like AA but even if he matched last years numbers he still isn't worth a top 5 overall prospect. On the Islanders right now 4 players capable of a returning a top 5 overall prospect, that's including Dobson. I don't see any players on Detroit being able to do that. Anyway I was referring to organizational top 5 pick that makes sense for Detroit.

Lmao anyway Koivula is probably a top 5 prospect in our system and the wings r very thin at center so I don’t see a problem

Yeah but he can't skate, he has average skill offensively, but he can play physical. That is the textbook checking line player so 3rd line. I wouldn't put him ahead of Veleno or Rasmussen. So he'd be a 4th line center in Detroit

Honestly I’d probably do a 2nd and Wilde, only reason I didn’t is cuz he’s in the other trade
aedoran liked this.
