Without any reservations, I am taking the Buffalo side of this trade. Kaprizov could be game-changer

The value is fair or at least close to fair both ways, Kaprizov probably has the higher ceiling but is slightly more risk. Both are top-tier elite prospects

For me though, for BUF to even consider this, there would need to be a plan in place for how we're going to fix our massive roster hole at 2C, because as of now Cozens in 1-2 years is the only plan we have

Kaprizov is a baaaaad man. Minnesota is going to be thrilled to bring him in, and I see him as having higher upside than Cozens does. In a draft deep with centers, if Minnesota is able to land someone like Lundell with their first round pick, they have the potential 1C that they need and still have this dynamic scoring winger.

Its an interesting idea, we are so screwed at center that i doubt we do it. We have eichel, followed by evan rodrigues, johann larsson, curtis lazar- we paid a guy 9 million dollars to only score goals and then sent him out with guys that might as well be wearing oven mitts as centers. Casey mittelstadt is playing in the ahl, if our gm traded his other highly drafted center prospect...i just dont know.
