What is the Backes for DB trade? They are trying to dump salary not take on more. Retain 2.5 plus, 1 mil for Clifton and 6 for Backes is more then the 7.5 for Dustin alone. Makes absolutely no sense.

Buff 7.6 with 2.5 retained is 6.1. Backes + Clifton is 6.075. It’s a wash this year. They gain 7+ next year.

It’s not ideal but it gets Backes off the books next year.
