Yeah after the Martinez trade the Barrie for VGK 1st trade just lost its purpose.

I thought they were about the same and Dermott has more cost control and is younger for a rebuilding team. Also Buffalo has extra RHD.

Miller has term so the cost control part doesnt really exist. Sure Dermott is younger but he doesnt really pan out to be more then a #4. Will probably be a solid 3rd pair guy that can move up with injuries most of his career. Miller is more of a #3 that knly really plays 3rd pair when a team has multiple 1/2 RD, same way Pesce played 3rd pair last year but is a #2 in reality.

Anyways, Buffalo is already pretty good on LD depth Dahlin will be Jones level good, they have Johnson and Samuelsson coming up, McCabe is a suitable stopgap as well
