Edmonton doesn't wanna trade their 2020 1st or Puljujarvi for a rental.. you've done both. Easy pass from the Oilers. Read some articles first then post. Otherwise you make yourself look dumb.

Yes, Pageau is worth far more than a 20th overall pick -- IF he's under contract for five or more years, and continues to produce at the rate he is producing in his audition-end-of-contract year (see Jeff Skinner, among others). Those are two big, and entirely separate, if's. An "understanding" like the Goldne Knights seem to have had with both Pacioretty and Stone would have to be in place for this deal to make any sense for Edmonton -- and as a SoCal adherent, I'm not a big fan of deals that would improve the Oilers, so you can't say that I'm biased in the matter.
