Red wings say no. They take on a cap dump and give up Green for a terrible goalie, a forever AHL player and two late picks. I think not.

Don't forget, that cap dump doesn't work because they are already using the two LTIR spots (Franzen/Zetterberg). Id argue Green is worth more than essentially a 4th and 6th. Think more a conditional 2nd/3rd.

I believe that's not true, I've never actually seen anything that says you can only have 2 player on ltir.

Per cap friendly, Buffalo has 3 players on ltir right now.
