Yeah I mean after Coleman and Zucker both get 1sts + top prospects, you're going to get a lot more than that for Strome if you put him on the market....

Also Bob said yesterday that Fast will get "at least a 2nd", I think that's a lot more value than what's listed here.

I'm definitely not good with player valuations and would rather be on the conservative side. I do feel strongly that the Rangers would prefer young players and prospects to draft choices. They are looking for help in the next few years rather than drafting an 18 year old. A Kreider trade would almost. Certainly include a 1st but that could be flipped for an NHL ready player.

That's fine. I just don't know why you would then make a trade to a team with one of the worst prospect pools in the league...It just doesn't make sense logistically....the thing is with Strome's RFA status he doesn't necessarily need to go to a contender, he has team control. Teams like Buffalo or Florida or Anaheim, Ottawa, could all use some middle 6 C help.

You have other options is the point.

Uuugggh, ballsy move dumping RFA US$3.1Mil Strome to BOS for what amounts to a 1st (Fredric) and a 3rd (Lauko) when you guys did a 1-1 trade hosting some KHL guy named Spooner.
All, in order to PAY CK US$7-LARGE FOR SEVEN is border line insanity - good luck with that.
    Cheers

if i was a betting man, i would bet kravtsov doesn't make the team out of camp next season. he has gotten better in the last month but still isn't ready.

Yeah, personally I would think trading him is the way to go. Deangelo needs to get paid and many of the better young guys will start to get expensive right when Kreider's game begins to slip. They can get a decent return for him and still have cap flexibility.

It'll be a tough year with expansion looming.
Guys like Strome might be OK in BOS (I'm a doubter) but almost assuredly he'll be left un-protected. With at least one good player leaving each team the farm-hands should have a greater significance because more will step in next year because of Seattle...

    I'm anything but...
*Why don't you ask an opposing question then? OR come up with an intelligent counter-argument from your own point of view please?

NOTE: I was "reported" yesterday and I didn't appreciate it. So if you cannot reply intelligently to the question in this post ^ ^ - don't and move on.
    Thanks
