That’s not enough for Savard and a 2nd... other Columbus fans would argue that’s not enough for just Savard at the deadline and you want him retained that’s just not happening.

Then you massively undervalue Savard or way overyvleu Kerfoot and Gauthier..... Savard is a top 4 RHD who isn’t a rental, Kerfoot is a middle 6 forward who is better at a 3rd line center role or 2nd line wing with the right players, and Gauthier is a 4th line center at best, I’m not sure he’d even play for Columbus. Columbus doesn’t need depth, we need a 2nd line center.

Andy Green got NJD a 2nd and a B prospect, Savard is better then Green and under contract for more then the rest of the year, Savard could at least get a 1st and a B prospect.

A fair trade would be Savard for Kerfoot and a 3rd or Savard and a 3rd for Kerfoot and Holl...

wohohooho. You are overrated Savard. Savard is 29 about to enter his prime. He is not a true top 4 d man but an ok one. He only has 8 points this season which makes him a defensive defenseman. Kerfoot is much younger and has good seasons. 40 point seasons in 78 games. This season he hasn't gotten his minutes but is still producing. Gauthier is a 4th line centre.

Again like I said if anything Im swaping the second for a third.

Andy Green was traded for a 2020 2nd and a B prospect..... Savard is better then Green is and under contract and younger.....

Just take the trade off as it’s not happening.... Columbus and Toronto aren’t a good trading partner. You’re also a typical leafs homer... give me the player I want for spare parts.

Also if you’re going to quote stats quote them correctly... Kerfoot has 25 points in 59 GP with a much better offensive linemates, Tavares and Nylander are both better then any offensive player Columbus has, I’d hope he could put up points with them. Yes Savard is more defensive, but also has a surprise offensively in some games. Saved is also 2nd in the NHL in blocked shots
( https://www.foxsports.com/nhl/stats?season=2019&category=DEFENSE&group=1&sort=10&time=0&pos=0&team=0&qual=1&sortOrder=0&page=1 ) Something Toronto really need help with.

Lol that trade is a bust for Islanders their stupid.
Kerfoot doesn't even play with Tavares or Nylander.
And again Savard is not a top 4 d man. He is a one way player who can only play defense. Savard is just blocking this season last season ceci was blocking more
There are not many second line centres in the market and the leafs are the only ones willing to give up one.
good luck making the playoffs with no second line centre
