I would do this but montreal has to retain salary

If the 1st in lottery protected and Montreal takes some amount of cap back, I'm definitely in favor of this. It's like a lot of the offers on this site for Kreider, only it makes sense.

Probably Hickey. Similar term to Tatar. Wouldn't be opposed to retaining part of Hickey's contract. Another option might be Matt Martin, though I'd be hesitant to break up the shock troops again.

Not sure how MTL would feel about taking Komarov back, but that's another option. He'd have to waive his NTC (or leave MTL off his 7 team list), but at least he still plays a decent brand of defensive hockey.
