Wilde is a major piece and has the potential to be a good pp qb and top 4 dman, I value him highly and I always thought this of him even before we drafted him

Wilde is like a high B+ low A- prospect. Right handed shot. Didn't get a good look at him in camp this year because of a high ankle sprain. Seemed to be a passionate learner in Bridgeport. Coaches raved about him. So the stigma that he is a locker room cancer is nonsense.

I'm not saying he's untouchable though. He's not Dobson level. I would move Wilde in a package for Tatar or Domi.

To put it in NHL 20 terms, Wilde is probably like a med top 4 two way defenseman. Had a nice year in Saginaw last season and got sent back there recently to get him some more playing time.

Looking at things from a MTL perspective, he could be a centerpiece in a trade for Tomas Tatar. That's a guy the Islanders could be interested in. Considering the depth we have on D and the glaring holes we have up front, I'd be fine with moving him

I'm pretty high on Bode Wilde. I think Dobson's a better prospect, but not by as much as people might imagine. He has size but still has the speed and offense first mentality of a new NHL style defenseman. Coaches love him, and though he didn't produce all that well in Bridgeport this year, he's pretty young. Give him time, I'm confident he'll be a great Top 4 defenseman.

I'd be willing to part with him, but it'd have to be for a guy with term. Definitely not a rental. Tatar or formerly Zucker would be who I'd have my sights on. But if we're moving Wilde, I'd think we wouldn't want to include a 1st unless the returns are pretty generous. Our prospect system isn't as good as we think it is.

I always edit that stuff in EA games. They said Dobson didn't have Elite potential and didn't even include Sorokin or Wahlstrom in the game (probably for some kind of rights issue, but still)

Most are really high on Wilde and alot of people had him going in the first round in 2018. His strength is his offense but he's good defensively too. I think he'll become a legit top 4 dman one day but i dont know if he has a future with the Isles since their right side is so jam packed for the next 2-4 years
