I think the Devils could get a similar return to what Coleman got, if not better.

I guess it depends if the Devils want only futures in a trade. Bennett and Kylington are both younger NHL caliber players.

I wouldn't be too surprised if the Devils hold onto Palmieri and look at getting a good haul of futures next season by trading him as a rental if all they want are picks and prospects.

If they want only picks and prospects then yes.

They won't be getting NHL ready players that are 23 and 24 as well as a 1st and top prospect.

You could restructure it to a 1st, 2nd, Pelletier and Gillies if that's what they prefer over adding young NHL caliber players.

Th future of NJD at C position will likely be: Hischier, Hughes, Zacha, Zajac....and eventually some mix of McLeod, Merkley, Maltsev and Thompson. So C is probably a position of strength. In an ideal world, they would get RHD prospect (where their pipeline is thin) and RW at NHL level (if the deal both Palmieri and Simmons). But are asking teams for best prospect available. So I am guess a Calgary offer would include someone like MEP, Pelletier, Ruzicka, Pospisil along with a pick.
