Buffalo is like a thrift store. You can walk in, find a used asset and get it on the cheap. Take your pick. They're everywhere.

LOL so Bog is suspended and not paying him anything, now you want to give a 6th round pick and Buffalo to pay him 2 million bucks. What kind of logic is this.

Well they're going to be lucky to get anything for him at this point, and thats with retaining salary.

It's pro rated too so they aren't 'paying' him 2 million vs nothing. He could also decide to report to Rochester and they'd be on the hook to pay him the entire amount remaining on his contract vs half and getting a low pick.

The remaining money on his contract is probably considered money already spent at this point.

Honestly Buffalo may just terminate his deal. Wait for that and get him for league minimum

For sure its pro rated and he isnt going to go to the minors for 20 games, he will just spend the rest of the time with his family and a 6th wouldnt cut it for the money left. Like what is the percentage of a 6th round pick. 1% making it. It isnt even worth the paper work to trade him. If I am Buffalo and he wont listen, he can rot.

And people wonder why the culture is so $h!tty in Buffalo lol.

If he's not worth a 5th or 6th with retaining salary, Botterill should do the right thing and terminate his contract over the weekend so he can sign somewhere that wants his services.
