That trade changed. It was Dumba+ stuff at first.

Wild still have Suter/Spurgeon forever. Brodin has a year left, and MN can't re-sign and protect him without trading Dumba (or leave him unprotected for Seattle). I prefer trading Dumba and re-signing Brodin for MN.

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense for Tor still. Just re-sign Muzzin and you've got about the same player as Brodin.

LOl when did brodin become a top pairing man. Is he Victor Hedman?
He is an ok top 4 d man and Nylander is playing like an elite player.
Leafs reject in a heartbeat

If you are older than 15, ignorance can not be used as an excuse anymore...but I will help you do some research. I’m stealing a post from @TanSor here. Please read, then do some more research...then publicly admit how wrong you were.

“For what it's worth, here's the national statistics writer at The Athletic on Brodin:”

"Dom Luszczyszyn: It’s no wonder the prices are all out of whack for defenders during the deadline: With six days left the market is basically already dry, especially for rentals.

If I’m a team right now I’m probably going hard after a guy like Jonas Brodin who is for my money probably one of the best defensive defensemen on the planet. He will be hard to pry out if Minnesota, but he’s worth the price, especially since he comes with term on a reasonably cheap deal – he has one more season with a $4.17 million cap hit. No one else available will provide the impact Brodin does."

I didn’t say you wanted him. I was responding to your comment calling Brodin an “ok top 4 d man” which is a very ignorant statement!

Oh ok a player on pace for 35 goals is not elite
I guess your the smart one so I guess Nylander is overrated, that's a very unpopular opinion

Here's my quote from a previous thread, I think you need to give it a read with that take:

"For what it's worth, here's the national statistics writer at The Athletic on Brodin:

I know I'll get pegged as a homer, but Brodin is seriously a phenomenal player that nobody talks about. I really don't want to move him and I'm not particularly sold on moving him for Trocheck, but we need centers so frickin' badly that I'm intrigued by Trocheck even if he does have some concerns."

Here is also my quote
if you think Brodin is that good make someone else overpay him
Leaf's don't want a player that a team is gonna want you to overpay
I would like to keep my Nylander and go after someone else like Severson
