Yeah sorry Girard is going nowhere, Sakic pretty much said that he's not moving any of his D especially for the cup run. Any D he moves happens at the draft not now.

This doesn’t help Colorado. Moving a top-pair D and a young bottom six forward for a middle six rental and a young forward who may or may not be in the NHL this year makes them a worse team for their playoff run.

I am not arguing what Sakic may or may not have said. I will note that the only cup Byram will be playing for this year will be the Chynoweth Cup, so removing him will have zero affect on the Avs current roster for a playoff run.

there is so much wrong with this logic, dude come on.
Avs are not moving a cornerstone D prospect for a bunch of spare parts. You can try all you want to make up your own narrative to justify your homer values, but everything the media has said, Avs writers, to sakic himself is the complete opposite of your statement
