No thanks. I don't dislike the players/picks TOR is giving up - NSH just won't trade Fabbro or Sissons right now (brand new contract, not trading him in year 1). And Preds would likely be unable to re-sign Barrie too. And the 1st is 2021. So just a lot of things that don't quite work from a NSH perspective.

Nashville is receiving more offense here, which is what they are lacking and Bracco should be the NHL. He is too soft on the back-checking, which is why I think he would flourish on a team like Nashville, where playing defense is written each of these players' DNA. In my opinion, Barrie is worth a 1st and a mid-level prospect, so Nash could either parlay that, or use Barrie, and I think he would do well in Nashville too, because their D is also pretty defensive-minded, which would allow Barrie to be more himself (aka offensive).

Maybe in past years, but not this year. Nashville is all offense and no defense/goaltending this year. So this deal doesn't really help them in that regard. They are scoring goals, just can't keep them out of their own net. Again, just not the right pieces for the Preds. If they make a move like this, it would be in the off-season too. Preds may sell - in which case, Granlund, Smith, Hamhuis, Weber, Irwin, Bonino, or Grimaldi could be traded, or they may buy - in which case, they would be looking for depth D and PK-specialist forward depth.
