I'd pick up Chabot instead of Aho, especially if you're already drafting Barzal.

why wouldn't they have still drafted Carlo, and McAvoy? why wouldn't they still have signed halak?

also if you read the top I did take out nordstrom and ritchie

Yes hindsight is 20/20 we get it. Reshuffling one team isn't accurate if your going to do it start with the 1st pick and do all the teams.

I almost went with Chabot instead of Barzal. I think id rather Aho then Barzal.

If Chabot was chosen McAvoy probably wouldn't have been drafted the next year.

Either way you couldn't go wrong

I did a redraft in the mock draft section. I figure all the picks up until 13 where the bruins 3 came would have stayed the same, which is why I only replaced their picks with players that were drafted later then 15.

Every team has poor draft choices in their past, but these 3 from the bruins stand out as being particularly bad

I hated that draft. But no point crying over spilled milk. You change it you change everything that happens after that. They draft in different slots the next few years so you say goodbye to Mac and Vaak. Etc etc.

10 other teams could say the same, if everyone gets a do over they likely end up with Debrusk, Carlo, Koeneckny in the 1st and lose Lauzon in 2nd. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They are where they are today because of that draft, alter it, you may not like the results.

Because you would have changed everyone's draft board. Maybe someone takes Carlo before Boston's 2nd rounder.

As for McAvoy, well you've changed everyone's draft boards and off-season moves. This means you've changed game outcomes and so you have no idea if Boston has the opportunity to even draft him.

That is why looking at these things are pointless, because they are a rabbit hole of possibilities

Imagine thinking a kid on pace for back to back 25+ goal seasons is a bad pick.

I think it was more apparent for this draft because they had 3 shots in the first. Debrusk isn’t bad though

Hindsight draft, Connor, Barzal and Aho are not on the board at 13, 14 and 15. Not to mention you wouldn't be able to afford this team, well over the cap.

Lol way to upset people by bringing up bad memories. 😂 Bruins are still doing good though, so there’s that.

not a bad pick at all, just bad in hindsight for the players drafted after him and the fact they had 3 in a row makes it stand out, You think debrusk is better the Aho, Barzal, or Connor?

you are already $1m+ over the cap, not to mention in a year you have to sign 10 rostered spots with under $20M, one of those that could easily take up 40-50% of that $20M. what is so hard to understand here....

No, but I also enjoy having a cup contender and a right side of the defense that's set for the next 10 years. Who knows if they still have that if they swap out those 3 picks

Cheers Coop, not trying to rag (too hard) but so many different scenarios as mentioned in above posts. Really tho, it's the same story for all teams; Bruins had three in a row which is the rarity.
DeBrusk - solid
Zboril - franchise depth is slowing his jump to NHL
Seny - definitely off the board BUT did score 40+ twice in junior! He has looked good but obviously not good enough because they just got Kase...
note: Barzal had major knee issues in 2014-15...

B's have done just fine in the last decade both on the ice and off (Cup, Finals trips, Pasta 25th pick, McAvoy 14th, Carlo 37th, Grz 85th, Heinen 116th, Krug Free Agent, Kuraly and Coyle trades) yadda yadda yadda

your right, you can never know for sure. The Bruins are a legit contender right now, whos to say they would be if they made those picks.

I just wanted to see how it would look if they drafted different because there were definitely better guys out there
