Even though it’s not happening- why in the world would it be for Lehner? The mentions from Islander fans almost unanimously mentioning they hope it’s for Lehner. Guess they’ve had enough of Greiss?

Especially considering that a strong goaltender is *exactly* the piece the Hawks are missing from their rebuild.

If there's a way for the Blackhawks to acquire a Sorokin-like prospect, I can't see them saying no. I've been guessing Askarov to be their guy at the draft strictly via this logic. A move to acquire that kind of piece now does the Hawks a ton of good down the road and probably makes them all the more deeper after the draft.
