Except that doesnt make sense for the leafs. Dumba isnt very good and overpaid. The 1st is nice but it doesnt help the leafs at all this year

That may work for Minnesota but I don't think it does for Toronto. Not arguing value of Dumba but the experiment with Barrie on Toronto hasn't worked and I don't see Dumba being any different.

I think if there is a trade to be made with the Wild and Leafs it's for Brodin.

I mean as a Leaf fan I would have to think hard about this one. And I doubt Minny wants to give up a decent 1st in this draft, considering they're in rebuild mode. Nylander, is a fantastic player, the value here is tipped in Minny's favor slightly IMO. Granted Dumba is solid top 4 option on any team and still has room to grow, but Nylander is 23, drives the JT line and is on pace for a career year. Either way, this seems like a draft day deal.

Easy does it there don't go handing out 1st round picks all willy nilly. Nylander should cost Wild Dumba plus but the 1st in this years draft as much as Wild suck is a high price to pay. Either way this is a trade that would be revisited in offseason it wouldn't be smart right now for leafs.

What? Nylander is easy top 5 forward in the league, only behind McDavid, Mathews, JT, and Marner! Minny would have to give up their first round pick for the next ten years to make this a fair trade

I want Nylander, but I wouldn't give up the first for him. I'm thinking:

Dumba
Greenway
2nd

As of right now, that's not close. Dumba has not been good at all this year, and he's coming off a major injury. Until he rebounds in a big way, his value isn't that high. Leafs have a pile of LW that Greenway doesn't separate himself from.

Tor and MN don't make good trade partners. Dumba hasn't been good enough this year to get TOR's top-4 FWDs, and MN doesn't need anything else from TOR.
