Barrie is a UFA rental - that trade is just dumb!

If I’m the other teams I do those trades. If I’m Flames I don’t do either, though Palmieri one is close.

There has to be a dozen better rentals than Barrie which come much cheaper.

What would you realistically pay for Barrie?

That’s a huge pay for rental d, and what happens if the flames miss the playoffs and make that trade?

Jankowski you’d be selling at an all time low in value, but if you like Palmieri does it really matter?

I think that for the Flames you have to go all in on the next 3-4 years so it might be worth it.

Barrie just hasn't been good...maybe not even average this year. Fact is the Leafs need him this year, so I don't see the Leafs trading him. So if Barrie was available it certainly wouldn't be getting a picks that just might be in the middle of the rounds...such as about. 18th overall and 49th. Maybe a desperate time (who needed a RHD) with true Cup aspirations who might be have the 28th pick might offer their first but even that is an overpay.
