Value off? Don’t like the players, position? I’m not being difficult just trying to get more information

Tkachuk is about == nylander, could easily make an argument that he's better
Andersson is far better than dermot
and johnsson is only a slight upgrade on bennet.

Value off, I'd say. Tkachuk is probably the best player in that bunch and plays with so much heart, Andersson is better than Dermott, and Bennett, while the worst of the bunch, is still a valuable asset. As crazy as it may sound, Tkachuk probably couldn't be had for anything less than Marner simply because of the value he has in everything he does.

Just my opinion, i can agree with the first two, but Johnson is a huge upgrade over Bennett. I can handle the trade not working value wise but Johnson is a legit top 6 winger and Bennett sometimes is a healthy scratch so I’m sorry i see that as a big upgrade.

Bennett has only been a healthy scratch once this year so no he's not sometimes a healthy scratch, he's rarely a healthy scratch

Like I said I’m ok with not being on the same page value wise. I kinda get it, especially Anderson he looks great.
But Johnson vs Bennett
Johnson career .54 pts/gm
Bennett ..35 pts/gm
I rest my case.

Johnsson has spent 60% 9f the season playing with Matthews 52% of that with Nylander and 8% with Marner. All 3 of which are significantly better players then Johnsson. Bennett on the other hand has been moved around the lineup constantly all year but has spent most of the season playing with Lucic and Ryan who are certainly not significantly better players.
Point production numbers here are quite skewed based on the skill of linemates. Im not saying Bennett is better by any meams just its not as much of a difference as you think.

There’s a reason johnson plays with better line mates. Bennett has had every opportunity to play with the best flames forwards. I like the player otherwise I wouldn’t have traded for him but he’s a bottom 6 player with a touch of skill, he’s hard nosed too. But he isn’t a top 6 forward like johnson. Like i said I’m more than happy agreeing the trade isn’t quite there but player for player johnson is worth significantly more. Agree to disagree

While this does fill a void on the right side, all it does is create problems else where. Johnny wont be here in 3 years and losing tkachuk would mean the left side is just as bad as the right side is now...

Impartial here:

I would take the CGY player on every side of this.

Tkachuk > Nylander

Andersson > Dermott

Bennet > Johnsson

CGY players are also the type to be very valuable in the playoffs. Hard to play against grindy guys
