Honestly since Petry has term, if Tampa wanted MTL to retain 50%(which Tampa would need), then I think the minimum Tampa would have to part with is their 2020 1st, good prospect(remaining Foote, ABB type) and a conditional 2021 3rd that turns into a 2nd if Tampa goes far enough this year or next. That would be the base of discussions with some tweaks probably. I guess a lot depends on how severe the injury to Cernak is. If he's back in a 2 or 3 weeks maybe this kind of trade isn't needed. However, if he's out long term, then a good top 4 rhd is needed or Tampa can likely forget a deep playoff run. Petry would also be here for 2 runs unless Tampa decided to move him at the draft to recoup some of the lost picks. I'd be good with the Petry trade if Cernak is out long term and/or Tampa believes Foote isn't going to have an impact starting next year (and he will need to be a top 6 regular starting next year due to cap issues).
