An insider reported 1 team in the east had called for him and Lou is prolly the only one who would do that.

"Lou trying to acquire Andy Greene and Travis Zajac multiple years in a row. i'm convinced that his memory started going after the 2011 Devils run and those are the only players he can remember."

Would make sense that he would go for Parise too.

Also could be a good move if he can get the Wild to retain salary and/or take back Ladd. No idea what else would need to be involved, but if Guerin decides to take another couple steps back, it could be a way to turn Parise into a pick or a prospect which could end up working for both teams.

Honestly, moving Ladd back is necessary but not enough. MIN would have to retain on Parise as well. His contract is 2 years longer than Ladd. Isles can't have a 41 year old on the books making $7m plus

Exactly. I don’t think it makes sense for either team because the islanders will probably want wild to take back Ladd + komarov + picks. Not sure MIN would want to take back that much salary for picks.

Do you honestly think Parise with his injury history will be playing the last 2 years when his salary drops to $1m? You honestly think this wasn't the plan when he inked that deal to begin with? If you believe that, then I'm probably going to have to spoil that the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus aren't real either.

I don't think he would leave any amount of money on the table. Why should he? It's not worth the risk for the Islanders to potentially carry a $7m plus cap hit if Parise toughed it out.
