You can throw in Hunter Jones or something comparable for wings to take Rask contract

These are all poor returns for the Wild except for the Johansen trade. I don't think Nashville would have much interest in the Dumba/ Johansen trade.

IMO, the Johansen trade is the only automatic NO. He’s fading fast and his contract is horrible!

Why pay anything to get rid of Rask? You have $13m in cap space, you don't need to get rid of him. Buy him out if you need the roster space.

I thought he was just having a off year like Dumba.
I agree with JayTea▾ on the Rask deal and my biggest problem with the Brodin trade is Wild are sending a additional 5th when if anything the Panthers should add a bit more.

Way easier to buyout Rask than give up all of that to save $1 million

To be fair Dubas made that trade though. But the Wild can buyout Rask and not give up anything and aren’t in cap trouble either way.

I get it, but in this scenario- you’re not getting someone to take Rask without a severe overpayment.

Don’t need anyone to take him, buy him out or scratch him or bury him. No cap issues.

Why would Vancouver want anything to do with Foligno, much less give up one of our top D prospects for him? Looks like 3rd/4th liner stats, and we have plenty of those already.

That’s a no from Florida, going to have to take salary back to balance things. Trocheck for Brodin and done.
