I say you do it if you are happy with the skill level of your young F's beyond Nylander.

Virtanen brings a unique skill set to this team and Tanev/Morgan would be very good together. Hutton is just icing on the cake.

Must have been a Canucks fan that posted this. Nylander is more skilled than Virtanen, and if people still worry about his size he looks to have bulked up even more this offseason than last. Also you combine Ben Hutton's production numbers with Tanev's possession numbers and you basically have Jake Gardiner. Soshnikov would be icing on the cake for Vancouver. I think a Gardiner / Tanev swap would make more sense for the Leafs if it fits Vancouver's needs but that is as far as the trade should go IMO.

That would be horrible for VAN though. Tanev > Gardiner
