I feel like Ottawa would still take that deal if it didn't include Koivula. They're in for a long term rebuild and it's not like Boychuk hasn't been playing good hockey lately. I don't think he's begun declining yet.

Boychuk has been pretty bad over the last 2 months. He can barely skate which is affecting his gap control, he’s getting outmuscled in front of the net, and he continues to ice the puck at the worst times. He’s a 7D. The only time he brings value is on the pk
