Am I ? I mean, Kovy is probably worth a 2nd, + a little something. Tatar, based on current market, is worth a quality prospect, a 1st and a roster player. Jost, Timmins and a 1st seems not that far off.
I mean, you are replying this on pretty much every Avs thread. According to you, 50% of the Avs roster and prospect pool is untouchable. So I think your are confusing between your wishes and the current reality.

Yes you are dreaming, you’re over valuing habs guys grossly here

When Sakic said himself in a press conference, by name says Newhook byram and Timmins are untouchable. I would say what the the gm of the avs said and what avs writers are reporting backs that up

But hey maybe do a little research first before you try to take a shot at a guy bc how it just you like a fool

I am not clearly not. Tatar's value, especially with retained salary, is a 1st, a quality prospect and a roster player. I understand Byram and Newhook are untouchable, so I went for Timmins, and Jost as the roster player here. I can understand you don't like trade, seems you never like any trade involving the Avs anyway. But you're dead wrong if you think a guy like tatar is worth a 2nd rd pick and B prospect.
Same thing with Kovalchuk. He will fetched a 2nd if traded. I really like Beaucage so I added him in the deal, but what is more likely is a 3rd or a 4th. Once again, valuewise is pretty much ok.

And for the Canes, it appears Bean and a 1st is not enough for Petry since the Habs declined this offer recently. I think adding Suzuki is a bit of a reach, so I think another prospect among Kuokkanen/Rees/Drury is pretty fair. I went for Kuokkanen since he is my fav.

Yes you are big time? Lets just say Tatar for Colorado's 2020 1st round pick+Colorado's 2021 2nd round pick+Jost. Do you honestly think that Kovalchuk is worth Timmins+Beaucage. I mean come on let's get real here. You're way over-valuing Tatar and Kovalchuk.

Let's put it another way. Tatar for Timmins, 1st, Jost? I think I'm not far off. Then, Kovy for Beaucage and a 2nd, I think I'm not that for here either. Maybe the habs send back a late round pick.

Stop making bad trades and posting them and won’t open yourself up to being ridiculed by me, other avs fans and other fan bases

Right it’s just me who is making fun of them and everyone else agrees fair value. Maybe read the pulse of the room before making a claim. Surprise avs fans and other fan bases are agreeing these are terrible over payments

He actually never said them by name. The reporter asking the question said Byram, Newhook and Timmins and Sakic just told him it was a good guess.

You're not wrong with the over value here but everyone has a price and Sakic mostly stated he didnt want to make a rental trade but a hockey trade, Tatar isnt a rental so it would be interesting to see what part of the Avs future he would be willing to give up for a run the next couple years

Agreed to the names said, semantics. It’s the fact that they aren’t moving their top prospects. Again not a hard concept to figure out

Tatar isn’t a rental but we are talking a 1st and Timmins at most, not a 1st Timmins and jost value like this poster is claiming

And they apparently aren’t even really interested in Tatar. Sakic likes domi, bergevin likes graves. If they sync up in a trade they would be looking at building something around those guys

My guess is that you clearly don't want you team to sacrifice any future to get immediate help to make a playoff push even with all the current injured players in COL. It's a valuable position. However, if COL want immediate help, you are not gonna get anything with your 3rd picks and A.J Greer. Sakic needs to pay if he want to get something from us.

they will add, but they arent going to be reckless with trading away their top assets bc other fan bases thing the Avs should do it. It goes against everything Sakic has been preaching as a GM.
If the right deal is there they will do it and yes that could include a Byram or Newhook, but its not for 30 year old players, or for guys on soon to be expiring contracts. Example the rumour of Byram for Kyle Connor is something that would be more plausible... not Price, not Drouin, not Tatar, not kreider etc deals that fans were wish they could see.

You are, and not just because Sakic explicitly declared that Timmins was untouchable. Tatar is a solid 50-point guy who plays like a 30-point guy in the playoffs. That doesn't mean he's a bad player, but you're expecting a haul like he's a point-per-game menace that doesn't fold in crunch time.

But based on recent moves, like Coleman fetched a 1st and a top prospect (Foote), and Zucker fetched Addison and a 1st + Galchenyuk, than I can't see the price of Tatar being less than a 1st, an A prospect and a roster player.

Hmm. Foote is not a "top" prospect, he's a decent one, and Coleman is much cheaper and much more rugged (a ka a playoff type player). Zucker is locked down to an affordable long term deal, which raises the price tag a good bit.

You might argue that Tatar is equally good a player as Coleman and Zucker, and nobody would bicker too much. But you're expecting a considerably better return than those guys got.

Lebrun just said on Insider Trading that a 3rd round pick, conditional to becoming a 2nd, is probably what Kovalchuk can bring back right now.
So yeah you are far off here straight from the mouth of an actual NHL insider himself

Kovy isn’t a good fit for the Avs IMO. But with expanded rosters and as cheap as he is who knows.
