Description

Based on what Russo is saying, it sounds like the only way a deal with Carolina gets done is if Necas is involved and Guerin will give up either Brodin or Dumba. Sounds to me like he's dangling the carrot and hoping Waddell bites with pressure from the owner for playoff $$$.

Yes please. Probably doesn't happen, but I'd do this. I wonder if we throw Stalock in as well and maybe a guy like Donato to help out their scoring and then we take some cap dumps back (TVR and maybe Mrazek). It's definitely a pipe dream, though.

Canes say no if Pesce isn't hurt and the owner doesn't pressure them into making a deal. There's a small chance now, give us the hope lol

The owner is smarter than to give up a kid (20) who has the potential to bring many playoff runs in the future just to get some short term money this year. I also think he’s smart enough to understand that one player doesn’t guarantee playoffs.

I think they move some of their lesser draft picks (2nds and below) for some players who are still out there.

The same reason you’re smitten with Necas is the same reason the Canes won’t trade him.

If the Canes strike out on everything is where we have the hope, seems like Brodin and Dumba will still be there up until the deadline unless another team makes a stupid offer. Give us until 3pm tomorrow to say we have a chance!
