4th rounder and a minor league player for a depth player who has 14 goals? Flyers win that one.

Good pickup for Philly. Grant's been a quality depth guy the entire season.

Kinda wish Pittsburgh still had him tbh. Great snag for Philly. Basically got him for Free.

I would say Philly takes this round. The Ducks maybe could have gotten more value for Grant, but at the same time it's not that bad.

I'm truly disappointed. There are times when I've felt that Anaheim was a team lacking in some character, or commitment, but I never got that feeling when Derek Grant was on the ice. This trade saddens me. I know that in theory, getting a fourth-round pick (never mind the company in the tub) for a minimum-contract player is a win, but this feels like a double loss: on-ice performance and on-ice attitude. And I haven't heard anything about locker-room conduct that would contradict these values.

Who was the first option to send out there to pull draws on the penalty kill or in the defensive zone in the third period on those rare occasions when the Ducks were nursing a lead?

Unless Murray packages this fourth with the Anaheim third and manages to draft the next Brayden Point with the resulting pick, this trade is a stupidity.

Good deal for the Flyers. He's got over a goal every 4 games.

Grant is a possession black hole. Maybe if he gets easier minutes he'll do better in PHI, but as it stands, it's amazing that ANA got assets for him.
