I dont think we could get hoglander and a 1st. The leafs are going to want some assets back that help them now or they will flip them for a defenseman they actually want

I think if he's gonna get moved it's gonna be to
Vancouver. They were aggressive in trying to get him in the summer and they're back in again. & if they do, couple noteworthy things to mention:
      1. They can't trade their 2021 1st rounder since its tied to conditions from another trade
      2. Jett Woo has been the name talked about going to Toronto. & with no 1st round pick available to trade for a couple of seasons, a prospect like him fits what the Leafs want so they can flip him for a better d-man now

Nah, I'd be surprised if Barrie lands anything close to this.

Canucks shouldn't execute this trade unless UFA Barrie resigns with the team. Hoglander should fit nicely w/ EP40 & Hughes in future and the 1st-pick as of today is the 18th pick in a deep draft.

I could honestly just see a Barrie Stetcher swap

I'm pretty sure Dubas said no to that, but I wouldn't be surprised either. These trades were just off the rumour of 1st + prospect

I'm sure he could still pull a first, maybe a prospect. Thats what the rumours have been saying

Pick would be in 2021 but I agree. Still think Hoglander needs some time (2-3 years) to develop, by then Van wouldn't necessarily need him.

Just put in a prospect, not the teams best one. Maybe Woo for VAN, Puistola for CAR??

Wouldn't the leafs then be able to flip those for a defensemen?? Maybe not a 1st and Hoglander, but any package from Barrie flipped to a defensemen??

The leafs would want to do that and they easily could. That's what I'm hoping they will do

Which defensemen would you want? At first I wanted Manson, and I still do but based on what some ducks fans say, i'm not so sure.

I would love manson but more realistically the answer is Severson. There isnt that much of a gap between the two but severson will cost a whole lot less. Hes not as physical but hes a better puck mover and is probably better defensively.
