Yeah for sure. And for Pageau's sake I hope they can do it.

Washington might be the best bet. I don't hate a Pageau matchup against Ovi, depending on the wingers he has. He's shut him down before.

I am not a big Lou guy but he hasn't been like that since he became GM. He refused to include dobson in a mark stone trade last trade deadline.

IMO Lou wanted the wild to retain a percentage of Parise salary In addition to taking on ladd contract and the wild were unwilling to do that. It made sense for the isles to acquire Parise if Ladd (5.5 mill AAV) + a prospect + picks for Parise (2.5 mill retained). At least Parise can still be productive at the NHL level.

zajac would have made sense if NJ retained salary and we didn't trade + extend pageau.
